- CalorieKing.com – one of my favorite sites in terms of getting my calorie quantities and for getting meal ideas.
Try their Advanced Recipe Search too – you can search for recipes that meet your requirements in terms of calorie requirements, or if you have an allergy and so on. Go to this page and make your selection. The system will 'spit' out only the recipes that fit in. This is gold… - The World's Healthiest Foods – scroll about a third of the way down that page to see the actual recipes. This is where you can actually choose foods to include, exclude, or require in your ingredients list. Granted the resulting recipes are not always what you'd want of a meal- but I still think this site is awesome.
- About.com – Home Cooking section – You can find just about any info on how to cook tasty food at home. Be aware though – that you'll still need to use my tips on making the recipes you choose healthy.
- About.com – All Food section – An amazing compilation of recipes and info from cooking for kids, to regional cuisine, to specialty diet recipes.
- About.com How to Cook info – pretty much anything you need to know about cooking. From beginner to advanced to the odd questions – you'll find your professional answer here.
Also try their Cooking 101 section. - SimplyRecipes.com – Very extensive selection of just about any recipes. These are not strictly speaking healthy – but can certainly be made to be.
