Lizard
The Lizard is one of my personal favorites. It is a kick-ass exercise for your entire body and it produces visible immediate results – love it!

The Starting Position
Start off in a normal push-up position. Lift your body on your toes and arms. Feet slightly apart, palms just wider than shoulder width apart. Your body should form a straight line from ankles to head. For this you will need to brace your abs and lower body.
The Motions
Lift your right knee on the side towards your shoulder, crunching your obliques. Then return your leg back to the starting position. Now repeat with your left leg.
The Technique
- Take special care to keep your body in a straight line. Don't let your bottom sag.
- Make sure the knee of the bending leg is higher than your elbow – ideally higher than your shoulder – but you can work up to that.
- Keep the knee and foot of the bending leg on one level horizontally.
To make this even more challenging, you can add a push up to the knee lift in one fluid motion.
