Try to find the enteric coated variety, as this type of coating protects your stomach and protects you from the repeating fish taste that comes with taking the cheaper varieties.

It is also important to find Omega 3 that is molecularly distilled and screened for the absence of potentially harmful levels of contaminants like mercury, heavy metals, PCB's, dioxins, and other contaminants.

Quantity

I take 1000mg per day – that's the standard recommended dose. However, you may need to take more or less – speak to your doctor for more specific advice.
