Multi Vitamin Supplements

Quality

Quality vitamins as a whole will cost you marginally more, but in the long run you're getting better results as more of them will actually be absorbed by your body and less will be flushed out.

You should ideally find multi-vitamin that has strong quantities of Vitamins A, B (3,6,12), C, D and E. As those are your more important ones. The rest of the multi-vitamins will usually vary in their extra components.

The main ingredient to be aware of is Iron. If you are still menstruating then up to 18mg per day is OK, but if you're not you must not take iron – unless you know you are deficient. Iron is a heavy metal and once accumulated in our blood can only be removed either by donating blood, or by a process called chelation.

Because there is no uniform standard for manufacturing practices in this industry currently, always select supplements manufactured with assay certification or USP XXVIII pharmaceutical purity and sterility standards.

Quantity

It's really hard to have a "one-size-fits-all" answer here as we all have individual requirements. But if you're looking for something to start with, have a look at the list of ingredients on the label of the Life Extension Mix™ Capsules below to get an idea of good quantities to look for.

BTW, don't neglect the fact that these multi vits contain the quantities mentioned if you take 14 caps a day. The reason for this is partially because they provide essential minerals and amino acids. The minerals specifically usually take up space to provide the quantities needed.
